Nigeria. Enugu State. Awhun. Saint Luke's Catholic Parish. An old Igbo man dressed with white clothes and wearing a catholic pectoral cross on his neck stands in the church before the funeral mass in honor of Reverend Father Clement Rapuluchukwu Ugwu, killed by burglars in his house on March 13th 2019. A pectoral cross or pectorale is a cross that is worn on the chest, usually suspended from the neck by a cord or chain. Two drawings from Jesus Christ and the sacred heart are hanged in frames on the wall. The one on the left is accompanied by words from psalm 23 of the Book of Psalms, generally known by its first verse, "The Lord is my Shepherd". In between both religious portraits of Jesus Christ, a written sign is english: Off your phones. 11.07.19 © 2019 Didier Ruef
