Serbia. Zitkovac is a village in Central Serbia situated in the municipality of Aleksinac, in the Nišava District. « Vuk Karadzic » Elementary School. Classroom. 5th Grade. A blond teacher during a Serbian class.The school’s students are from Serbian and Romani ethnicity. The boys with black hair and dark skin complexion (seated on the fist row (L) and second row (R), and the girl seated on the second row (L), all three are Roma children. The others are Serbian. The Romani (also spelled Romany) or Roma, Roms or Gypsies, are a traditionally itinerant ethnic group. The Pestalozzi Children's Foundation (Stiftung Kinderdorf Pestalozzi) is advocating access to high quality education for underprivileged children.
