Serbia. Leskovac is a city and the administrative center of the Jablanica District in southern Serbia. A Roma teenage girl (L) from the « Petar Tasir » Elementary School visits the Textile and Design Highschool (Škola za tekstil i dizajn). Both women and the man (R), all seated and working with a sewing machine, are from Serbian ethnicity. The Romani (also spelled Romany) or Roma, Roms or Gypsies, are a traditionally itinerant ethnic group. The Pestalozzi Children's Foundation (Stiftung Kinderdorf Pestalozzi) is advocating access to high quality education for underprivileged children. It supports in Leskovac a project called » Together in transition ».18.4.2018 © 2018 Didier Ruef for the Pestalozzi Children's Foundation
