Ethiopia. Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region. Omo Valley. Yetnbrshe Village (5 km from Jinka). Ari tribe. The Ari are predominantly agriculturalists living in permanent villages. Marc Vella is a french musician and a nomadic pianist. Over the last 25 years he has travelled with his Grand Piano in around forty countries to celebrate humanity. Thanks to the variacordes which he has devised, his piano music is unique. Creator of “La Caravane amoureuse” (The Caravan of Love) he takes people with him to say “I love you” to others and “lovingly conquered” their hearts and souls. A jam session with Marc Vella and a group of six Ari flute players. The flute is a family of musical instrument of the woodwind group. Unlike woodwind instruments with reeds, a flute is an aerophone or reedless wind instrument that produces its sound from the flow of air across an opening. A jam session is a musical event, process, or activity where musicians play (i.e. "jam") by improvising without extensive preparation or predefined arrangements. The Omo Valley is situated in Africa’s Great Rift Valley. Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region (often abbreviated as SNNPR) is one of the nine ethnic divisions of Ethiopia. 12.11.15 © 2015 Didier Ruef
