France. Ile-de-France Department. Paris. Eurosatory 2022. Visitors, sales persons and Harop drone’s video presentation on IAI exhibit stand. The IAI Harop is a loitering munition developed by the MBT division of Israel Aerospace Industries. The unmanned combat aerial vehicle is also known as the Harop loitering munitions missile. This SEAD-optimised loitering munition is designed to loiter the battlefield and attack targets by self-destructing into them. Rather than holding a separate high-explosive warhead, the drone itself is the main munition. It is an anti-radiation drone that can autonomously home in on radio emissions. The drone can either operate fully autonomously, using its anti-radar homing system, or it can take a human-in-the-loop mode. If a target is not engaged, the drone will return and land itself back at base. It has been designed to minimize its radar-signature through stealth (low-observability). Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) is Israel's major aerospace and aviation manufacturer, producing aerial and astronautic systems for both military and civilian usage. IAI is completely state-owned by the government of Israel. IAI designs, develops, produces and maintains military drones. Eurosatory is the international reference for land and airland Defence and Security exhibition. 13.6.2022 © 2022 Didier Ruef
