Italy. Apulia Region. Locorotondo. A lonely young woman seated at night time on a stair takes a selfie with her mobile phone. A selfie is a self-portrait photograph, typically taken with a smartphone which may be held in the hand or supported by a selfie stick. Selfies are often shared on social networking services such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram. They are for vanity, usually flattering, and are casual in nature (or made to appear casual). "Selfie" typically refers to self-portrait photos taken with the camera held at arm's length. Locorotondo is a town and comune with a population of about 14,000. The city is known for its circular structure which is now a historical center, from which derives its name, which means "Round place". Apulia (Puglia) is a region in Southern Italy. 5.12.18 © 2018 Didier Ruef
