Kenya. Rift Valley province. Kasambara (20 km from Nakuru). The swiss non-governmental organization (NGO) runs the Rhein-Valley hospital. Female ward. Patients and visitors, family and relatives, all are from the Kikuyu tribe. On front, a sick woman lays in bed and suffers from an incomplete abortion. In the back, a mother holds her daughter suffering from malaria. Both seat on a bed. Close to the green wall and seated on a bed, a woman suffers from a peuperal sepsis.
