ARTsakh Fest 2019 is the second edition of the annual contemporary art festival taking place on 4-6 October, 2019, an event of creative interactivity encompassing all aspects of contemporary arts, such as audio-visual installations, interactive public art and performances. The theme of Artsakh Fest‘19 dubbed “Nakhshun Baji” (Definition: beautiful sister) is about women and conflict. The post-war syndrome deals with bringing in conflict realities into peaceful living and the adaptation to it. Vahram Galstyan's 383 Souls light installation in the main hall of the Vahram Papazian Drama Theater. Nagorno-Karabakh is a disputed territory, internationally recognized as part of Azerbaijan, but most of the region is governed by the Republic of Artsakh (formerly named Nagorno-Karabakh Republic), a de facto independent state with Armenian ethnic population.
