Republic of Nauru. Central Pacific. Nauru is a tiny island (21 square-km). Nauru Phosphate Corporation. Bottom Side. The phosphate mined on the hot dusty interior plateau (Top Side) is brought down to the works near the cantilevers loaders. (Bottom Side). Here the material is crushed, screened, roasted and stored.
