Russia. Krasnodar Krai Region. Krasnodar. City center. Old people, all communists, stand in from of the town hall. An elderly woman holds in her right hand the State Flag of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, and in her left hand a plastic bag with a dog and a beautiful young woman in swimsuit. The State Flag of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (commonly known as the Soviet flag), was the official state flag of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) from 1922 to 1991. The flag's design and symbolism are derived from several sources, but emerged during the Russian Revolution. The flag is also an international symbol of the communist movement as a whole. The nicknames for the flag were the Hammer and Sickle and the Red Banner. Another aged woman holds a sign in cyrillic language with the words " Delegate (legislator or MP) ! Defend the Soviet power ". Krasnodar (also known as Kuban) is the largest city and the administrative centre of Krasnodar Krai in Southern Russia. 30.09.1993 © 1993 Didier Ruef
