Rwanda. Southern province. Murambi. Genocide Memorial. Internment of Tutsis, killed during the 1994 genocide. A group of young black men from the Ibuka association ( Tutsi survivors of the 1994 Genocide) carry two coffins covered by mauve materials with a Holy Cross on top. Mauve is the color of mourning. Over 50'000 people perished on the site and thrown in mass graves. The site of Murambi is located in the district of Nyamagabe, in the former Gikongoro prefecture, Nyamagabe commune. ©...
