Senegal. Saint-Louis. The Langue de Barbarie, in which the so-called fishermen's neighborhoods (Gooxumbath, N'Dar Tout, Guet N'Dar) form one of the three entities of the city of Saint-Louis. A young girl wears a new boubou and has both hands painted with henna during Tabaski holiday, the Muslim festival of Eid-al-Adha (commonly translated as the Feast of Sacrifice) or Eid el-Kebir. It is the most important Muslim festival and is called Tabaski in West African countries. The boubou is a flowing wide-sleeved robe worn across West Africa. Saint Louis, or Saint-Louis, is the capital of Senegal's Saint-Louis Region. 18.06.2024 © 2024 Didier Ruef
