The paintings on the walls represent the portraits of former shooting kings. A young man dressed with his military uniform jokes with members from « Exercises de l’Arquebuse et de la Navigation » association who celebrate « L’escalade » memorial shooting. L'Escalade, or Fête de l'Escalade (from escalade, the act of scaling defensive walls), is an annual festival held in Geneva, celebrating the defeat of the surprise attack by troops sent by Charles Emmanuel I, Duke of Savoy during the night of 11–12 December 1602.  21.10.2017 © 2017 Didier Ruef
