USA. Arizona state. Phoenix. Ben Avery Shooting Facility. The Ben Avery Shooting Facility, formerly the Black Canyon Shooting Range, is one of the largest publicly operated shooting facilities in the United States. Paula (R) holding an AR-15 and Greg (L) with an AR-15 and a suppressor, are a couple which trains their shooting skills with two semi-automatic rifles. In the forreground on a table, a Smith & Wesson M&P15-22 on a tripod with an optical gunsight and a magazin loaded with ammunition. The AR-15 is a lightweight, intermediate cartridge, magazine-fed, air-cooled Armalite Rifle. A suppressor, sound suppressor, sound moderator, or silencer is a device attached to or part of the barrel of a firearm which reduces the amount of noise and visible muzzle flash generated by firing. A firearm is a portable gun, being a barreled weapon that launches one or more projectiles often driven by the action of an explosive force. Most modern firearms have rifled barrels to impart spin to the projectile for improved flight stability. The word firearms usually is used in a sense restricted to small arms (weapons that can be carried by a single person). The right to keep and bear arms is a fundamental right protected in the United States by the Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights in the Constitution of the United States of America and in the state constitutions of Arizona and 43 other states. 28.01.16 © 2016 Didier Ruef
