The White House, the official home and principal workplace of the President of the United States of America, built in the late Georgian style, and the Congress of the United States. Papo and his Puerto Rican family lives below the poverty line and receives public assistance (AFDC, Home Relief, Supplemental Security Income and Medicaid). The family resides in units managed by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) which provides housing for low income residents. NYCHA administers rental apartments in facilities, popularly known as "projects". Spanish Harlem, also known as El Barrio and East Harlem, is a low income neighborhood in Harlem area.
