The story is about two boys kidnapped in their rural village in Shaanxi province in China. Li Hupeng is a boy who was abducted on may 12 2002, sold to a family in the village of Xiaotan in Henan province. The police found him and brought him back to his family on march 4 2004. Li Hupeng is a boy who was abducted on may 12 2002, sold to a family in the village of Xiaotan in Henan province. The police found him and brought him back to his family on march 4 2004. The other boy is Yao Liang. He was also kidnapped in the village of Shifeng in Shaanxi province on may 12 2002, sold to a family in the village of Nan Laoguanzui. The police found him and brought him back to his family on march 4 2004. The family has then decided, because of the poverty they live in, to resell his child to the family which already bought him (from the thieves) and with whom he lived happy for almost two years.
