Ayesha Al Mansoori is the first woman falconer in the UAE and the only member of the Ladies Falconer Club. She wears a black abaya and a niqab. The abaya, sometimes also called an aba, is a simple, loose over-garment, essentially a robe-like dress, worn by some women in parts of the Muslim world and the Arabian Peninsula. The abaya covers the whole body except the head, feet, and hands. It can be worn with the niqāb, a face veil covering all but the eyes.The muslim women who wear the niqab do so in places where they may encounter non-mahram (non-related) men. Falcons are birds of prey in the genus Falco, which includes about 40 species. Adult falcons have thin, tapered wings, which enable them to fly at high speed and change direction rapidly. Additionally, they have keen eyesight for detecting food at a distance or during flight, strong feet equipped with talons for grasping or killing prey, and powerful, curved beaks for tearing flesh. Falcons kill with their beaks, using a "tooth" on the side of their beaks.
