Albania. Durrës. A man stands among various mural painting underneath a road’s bridge. (L) Drawing of freedom fighters from the League of Prizren holding rifles and a text by Fan Noli (6 January 1882 – 13 March 1965), an Albanian writer, scholar, diplomat, politician, historian and founder of the Albanian Orthodox Church. His words: « Exiled, banished, exhausted and shattered, I weep endlessly, without hope, by the banks of the Elbe, by the banks of the Spree ». (L Back) A portrait of Mary Teresa Bojaxhiu, better known as Mother Teresa (26 August 1910 – 5 September 1997), who was an Albanian-Indian Catholic nun and the founder of the Missionaries of Charity, a religious congregation that was initially dedicated to serving "the poorest of the poor" in the slums of Calcutta. Over the decades, the congregation grew to operate in over 133 countries. (Right back). A portrait Adem Jashari (28 November 1955 – 7 March 1998) who was one of the founders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), a Kosovo Albanian separatist militia which fought for the secession of Kosovo from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia during the 1990s. On his portrait's side, a Kosovo fighter holding a machine gun. (Right) Hoxha Tahsim (7 April 1811 – 3 July 1881) was an Albanian astronomer, mathematician and philosopher. He was one of the founders of the Central Committee for Defending Albanian Rights. His words: "Don't look at my wounds, but look at the limits of Albania".
