Albania. Gjirokastër. Several derelict bunkers from the Communist Era. The concrete bunkers of Albania are a ubiquitous sight in the country, with an average of 5.7 bunkers for every square kilometre. The bunkers were built during the communist government of Enver Hoxha from the 1960s to the 1980s.  Gjirokastër Castle is a fortress situated at a height of 336 metres. Gjirokastër is a city in southern Albania, on a valley between the Gjerë mountains and the Drino river, at 300 metres above sea level.
