USA. Louisiana. New Orleans. Orleans Parish. 9th Ward area. A month after the storm, a black couple comes back for the first time and have a look at the devastated area. Their house is totaly destroyed and they will never live here again. The wife is extremely sad. The 9th Ward used to be the living place of the black (afro-american) community. Aftermath of hurricane Katrina. The area is empty and all its inhabitants have left the town. The people could no longer and ever live again in the houses because of the destructions due to the floods and the water. The entire area needs to be bulldozed before any new construction can be built. Destruction of the urban american way of life. © 2005 Didier Ruef
