Switzerland. The Republic and Canton of Neuchâtel. Neuchâtel. Police station headquarters. "Narko" operation. The narcotics squad has arrested a black man from Western Africa. He sits in a cell among a group of policemen and policewoman (some with blue uniforms, another in plein-clothes). The man was catched while selling illegal substances (cocaine drugs). Plainclothes law enforcement is a method used by police. The policemen wear plainclothes or "ordinary clothes" instead of a uniform in order to avoid detection or identification as law enforcement agents. Police officers in plainclothes must identify themselves when using their police powers. A police station or station house is a building which serves for police officers. The building contains temporary holding cells and interview/interrogation rooms. 1.04.15 © 2015 Didier Ruef
