Switzerland. Canton Basel-Landschaft. Liestal. The celebration of "Banntag" with men shooting their rifles in the air. The "Banntag" is an important day for Liestal municipality and is now a traditional festival in May for the local communities. A 650 years old tradition, where men from the city, some with rifles and others with sticks, walk along Liestal’s border to check if the border stones have been moved by the neighbors.
