Albania. Durrës. A young couple walks and passes-by two derelict bunkers. They are both old bunker from the Communist Era. The concrete bunkers of Albania are a ubiquitous sight in the country, with an average of 5.7 bunkers for every square kilometre. The bunkers were built during the communist government of Enver Hoxha from the 1960s to the 1980s. Durrës is the second-most-populous city of the Republic of Albania and seat of Durrës County and Durrës Municipality. Durrës' climate is profoundly influenced by a seasonal Mediterranean climate. 6.10.2024 © 2024 Didier Ruef
