People and families live in tents, because they are IDP (Internaly Displaced people) from the war on a border dispute(1999 to 2001) between Eritrea and Ethiopia. A new school " Hade Libi Junior School" was buildt by a grant from the Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture from Basel in Switzerland. Pupils (boys and girls) listen to their teacher's questions, and a few know the answers and ask, by holding theirs arms up, to have the opportunity to speak. © 2002 Didier Ruef
