United Arab Emirates (UAE). Abu Dhabi. Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX 2020). Milrem Robotics from Estonia. The company provides innovative robotic solutions for challenging environments. The Tracked Hybrid Modular Infantry System, or THeMIS, is the first hybrid fully modular unmanned ground vehicle in the world. The vehicle is intended to provide support for dismounted troops by serving as a transport platform, remote weapon station, IED detection and disposal unit, and much more. The vehicle’s open architecture gives it the multi-missions capability much needed on the modern battlefield. The THeMIS is an operationally proven multi-role UGV with an open architecture that enables it to be rapidly configured from transport to "strike" (weaponized), ordinance disposal, or to support intelligence operations according to the nature of the mission. The THeMIS is intended to reduce the number of troops on the battlefield and assist or replace personnel that have to work in other high risk and dangerous environments. Thanks to the high payload capacity, it is capable of transporting different classes of supplies ranging from personal equipment to medical materials, fuel, etc and conducting rapid CASEVAC. An unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) is a vehicle without a human pilot on board and a type of unmanned vehicle. UGVs may operate with various degrees of autonomy: either under remote control by a human operator or autonomously by onboard computers. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a country in Western Asia at the northeast end of the Arabian Peninsula. 25.02.2020 © 2020 Didier Ruef
