Switzerland. Canton Vaud. Payerne. Friedli SA is a Renault garage and a body shop. Just off the parking lot, a statue of an old Swiss Air Force de Havilland Vampire T55. The Vampire was the latest military attack aircraft made of wood and metal. It seems built around the reactor (Goblin) which propels it. The fact of having opted for the twin-beam fuselage, similar to the P. 38, made it possible not to lose thrust power by drowning the reactor in a fuselage that was too long. 28.03. 2024 © 2024 Didier Ruef
