033-Switzerland-Neuchâtel-Narcotics-Squad-Policemen-Control-Identity-African-Man-NightMouth-Open-Tongue-2015.jpg
Switzerland. The Republic and Canton of Neuchâtel. Neuchâtel. Downtown at night time. Narcotics squad. "Narko" operation. Three police officers in plain-clothes control the identity of a man in the street and look for illegal substances (drugs). The man is a black african from Western Africa. He opens his mouth and shows his tongue in order to prove that he does not hide anything in his mouth. He will be left free after the control. Plainclothes law enforcement is a method used by police. The policemen wear plainclothes or "ordinary clothes" instead of a uniform in order to avoid detection or identification as law enforcement agents. Police officers in plainclothes must identify themselves when using their police powers. 9.04.15 © 2015 Didier Ruef
