Guinea. State of "Guinée Forestière". Parrot's beak. Boodou. Boodou was once a camp where used to live 17.000 Sierra Leoneans refugees. The RUF (the Revolutionary United Front was a rebel movement in Sierra Leone) attacked the camp, its inhabitants fled to avoid death. The RUF burned the camp, then the guinean army destroyed the last houses to prohibit any return from the refugees. The UNHCR (United Nations High Commision for the refugees) had to transfer the refugees to new safer camps. © 2001 Didier Ruef
