Switzerland. Canton Solothurn. Olten. Dolma Knell works as a nurse in the Marienheim retirement home. She is talking to Aloisa Moser, 84 years old and a permanent resident. The swiss tibetan woman is an Aeschimann's child who arrived 50 years ago in Switzerland to receive custody on a private initiative by an influential Swiss industrialist, Charles Aeschimann. In 1962, Charles Aeschimann agreed with the Dalai Lama to take 200 children and place them in Swiss foster homes and give them a chance for a better life and a good education. Most of the children still had parents in exile or in Tibet, jus a few were orphans. A retirement home – sometimes called an old people's home, although this term can also refer to a nursing home – is a multi-residence housing facility intended for senior citizens. 25.02.2015 © 2015 Didier Ruef
