Switzerland. Canton Fribourg. Neyruz. A metal sculpture by local artist of a trunk decorated with art piece and a bench. A large portrait of the artist Jean Tinguely, who is buried in the village, is painted on a tarpaulin and hanged on a barn. Jean Tinguely (22 May 1925 – 30 August 1991) was a Swiss sculptor. He is best known for his sculptural machines or kinetic art, in the Dada tradition; known officially as metamechanics. Tinguely's art satirized the mindless overproduction of material goods in advanced industrial society. 21.05.2019 © 2019 Didier Ruef
