Thailand. Bangkok. Wat Pho, also known as Wat Phra Chetuphon, or The Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is a Buddhist temple. A fully ordained male Buddhist monastic, also called Bhikkhu, kneeled on a chair, during a religious ceremony. On a low table are laid various gifts (donations) offered to the temple ( food, safran clothes, Hitachi air cooler). Tha Tian's community is located in the downtown area and in the center of the urban historic district, called Koh Rattanakosin. The Tha Thian is surrounded by a major heritage and tourist site, Wat Pho. 02.04.09  © 2009 Didier Ruef
