France. Alpes-Maritimes province. Antibes. Three penguins in Marineland. Marineland is an animal exhibition park and receives more than a million visitors per year. Penguins (order Sphenisciformes, family Spheniscidae) are a group of aquatic, flightless birds living almost exclusively in the southern hemisphere. Highly adapted for life in the water, penguins have countershaded dark and white plumage, and their wings have become flippers. 03.11.06 © 2006 Didier Ruef
