Switzerland. Geneva. Poverty in Geneva. Ives (on the left, wearing a red sweater) is french, unemployed and is 48 years old. He lives in the homeless shelter " La Coulou", which is ran by the association Carrefour-Rue. In an underground parking place of the Grottes area, Ives and some friends sort out the food collected on the "Jour du partage" for the association Carrefour-Rue. "Jour du partage" means Sharing Day, it took place on december 10 in Geneva, in every Coop and Migros Supermarket. The population was invited to buy diverse items, like food, soap,.. and give it to various organisations working with poor people in Geneva. Model Released. © 2005 Didier Ruef
