Kenya. Rift Valley province. 20 km outside Nakuru. 23.01.2008. A truck heavily loaded drives on a the dirt road and carries various items and black Kikuyu men, all IDPS fleing from the inter-ethnic strifes. The men save some belongings, such as chairs, tables, mattresses, bikes,... Internally displaced persons (IDPs) are people forced to flee their homes but who, unlike refugees, remain within their country's borders. The Kikuyu are Kenya's most populous ethnic group. © 2008 Didier Ruef
