Ukraine. Province of Kiev. Parashiv. The elderly Khima, 80 years old, has decided to return in the radioactive area and lives alone in her house in the village of  Parashiv. She is draging a sledge on a snowy road and passes near deserted houses. The village of Parashiv is inside the 30km exclusion zone. The dead zone has been created after the catastrophe which took place on april 1986 at 1.23 am with the explosion of reactor No 4 at Chernobyl atomic power station. The accident in the nuclear power plant has environmentals effects which affect territories and health of the people. Contamined area by radiations. © 2006 Didier Ruef
