Switzerland. Canton Valais. Ulrichen. The national jamboree of the Swiss Scout Movement takes place in the Goms valley. It hosts a gigantic campsite, called Bula (german), Café (french) and Cafe (italian). About 30'000 Scouts settle in the valley for two weeks under the theme "mova". In scouting, a jamboree is a large gathering of Scouts who rally at a national or international level. The jamboree of the Swiss Scout Movement takes place once every 14 years. Wolf Cubs and Brownie Guide, Boys and Girls Scouts, Rover Scouts, they all celebrate the Swiss National Day, a national holiday set on August 1st. The people jump to catch packets of candies thrown in the air. Ulrichen is a village in the municipality of Obergoms in the district of Goms. 1.8.2022 © 2022 Didier Ruef
