Ethiopia. South Omo Zone. Salamago district. Hana (little village). Bodi tribe. Nomadic. Young girl carrying on her head two stones used to grind cereals and a rifle on her shoulder. She is on her way to Hana for a free distribution of a piece of white tissue (used as clothes) given by the ethiopian government to the Bodi people. Bodi women and girls like to have artistic and stylish haircuts. They wear metal bands on their wrist (silver bracelets) and their dresses are made out of cow's leather. The Bodi tribe is located in the Debub Omo Zone (South Omo Zone) of the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples's région. © 2001 Didier Ruef
