Nigeria. Enugu State. Enugu. Catholic church. Bigard Memorial Seminary is the largest seminary in Africa. Morning mass marking the end of the 2018 / 2019 Academic and Formation Year. Sacramental bread, sometimes called altar bread, Communion bread, the Lamb or simply the host, is the bread used in the Christian ritual of the Eucharist (also referred to as the Lord's Supper or Holy Communion, among other names). Roman Catholic theology generally teaches that at the Words of Institution the bread is changed into the Body of Christ (see transubstantiation). Bigard Memorial Seminary was composed in 2019 by 63 members of academic staff (22 resident as priest-formators and 46 part-time) and 832 students. The seminary had over the years produced 3 Cardinals, 13 Archbishops, 32 Bishops and numerous priests. Theology is the systematic study of the nature of the divine and, more broadly, of religious belief. Enugu is the capital of Enugu State, located in southeastern Nigeria. 29.06.19 © 2019 Didier Ruef
