Switzerland. Canton Ticino. Pregassona. A senior man lying down on an emergency medical stretcher is brought to hospital for medical examination. The elderly man is suffering from a heart problem. The paramedic, wearing a blue uniform and medical gloves, is a professional certified nurse working for the Croce Verde Lugano. He puts an intravenous infusion with saline solution into patient’s hand. The patient is also connected to a monitor which controls a set of vital functions, such as  electrocardiogram, blood pressure’s measurement, respiratory rate and pulse oximetry (oxygen saturation).The Croce Verde Lugano is a private organization which ensure health safety by addressing different emergencies services and rescue services. Medical gloves are disposable gloves used during medical examinations and procedures to help prevent cross-contamination between caregivers and patients.
