Romania. Iași County. Iasi. The Pogor garden near the the museum "Vasile Pogor", a literary history museum which is part of the Iași Romanian Literature Museum ( Muzeul Literaturii Romane Iasi). The Iași Romanian Literature Museum owns twelve memorial houses. A young boy plays in the garden with his plastic tricycle. A memorial with a Californian Dodge car which used to belong to the romanian poet Mihai Ursachi (1941-2004). The poet brought back the car from his exile in the USA in 1991 after the romanian revolution. On the right, a cast bronze sculpture of the romanian writer Ioan Slavici ( 1848-1925). Iași (also referred to as Iasi, Jassy or Iassy) is the largest city in eastern Romania and the seat of Iași County. Located in the Moldavia region, Iași has traditionally been one of the leading centres of Romanian social, cultural, academic and artistic life.
