Switzerland. Canton Ticino. Melide. Three police officers from TPO (Transport Police). Two policemen and a policewoman have expelled three Romanian Romani from a local train because they had no valid train tickets. One of the policeman is strip searching a young man while the other is looking for illegal items inside the backpack. A strip search is a practice used for safety reasons to search a person for weapons or other contraband suspected of being hidden on their body or inside their clothing by requiring the person to remove some or all of his clothing. The strip search is a mandatory procedure which requires legal authority. The policewoman speaks on her mobile phone and checks the persons' identity and controls that they are not searched for other crimes. The three Romanian Romani will receive a fine and 15 minutes later let be free.The Romani (also spelled Romany, Roma, Roms or Rroms, are a traditionally nomadic ethnic group. TPO (Transport Police) is the Swiss Federal Railways Police.
