A musician from a marching band (Guggenmusik) with two swiss flags painted on his face during the Lauberhorn ski races (Lauberhorn World Cup alpine ski races). A marching band is a group in which instrumental musicians perform for entertainment, and prepare for a competition. Instrumentation typically includes brass instruments, woodwind instruments and percussion instruments. Guggenmusik is a term usually used in the german region of Switzerland for a Carnival marching band. Wengen is a mountain village in the Bernese Oberland of central Switzerland. Located in the canton of Bern at an elevation of 1,274 m (4,180 ft) above sea level, it is part of the Jungfrauregion.
