Nigeria. Enugu State. Agbani. St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church. Reverend Father Gerald Chukwudi Ani is a catholic priest from the Diocese of Lugano (Ticino, Switzerland). Back in his homeland, he has organized at the church a Sunday mass to celebrate his 10th year anniversary of priesthood and the 5th year of his mother’s death. Igbo women wearing colorful dresses are dancing and singing during the religious service. All women wear a head tie which is a women's cloth head scarf. The head tie is used as an ornamental head covering or fashion accessory, or for functionality in different settings. Its use or meaning can vary depending on the country and/or religion of those who wear it. The head tie is called gele in Nigeria. 7.07.19 © 2019 Didier Ruef
