Switzerland. Geneva. A guard from the private security firm (SPS Sécurité) is standing at the entrance door of the fallout shelter Richemond. The security guard is conducting surveillance by watching and checking identities of homeless people entering the shed. The bunker was constructed as civil defense measures during the Cold War and is a unit of the Civil Protection. Switzerland is unique in having enough nuclear fallout shelters to accommodate its entire population. 9.02.2014 © 2014 Didier Ruef
