Switzerland. Canton Ticino. Corippo. Corippo lies in the Verzasca valley. Entrance of the unique restaurant in the village. A swiss flag, a table with a green plastic tablecloth, a flowerpot and on the wall sketches of two glases, one with red wine and the other with beer. With a population of just 16, Corippo is the smallest municipality in Switzerland. Despite this, it possesses the trappings of communities many times its size, such as its own coat of arms, a town council consisting of three local citizens and a restaurant. The village has maintained its status as an independent entity since its incorporation in 1822. The flag of Switzerland consists of a red flag with a white cross (a bold, equilateral cross) in the centre. 8.05.13 © 2013 Didier Ruef
