Ukraine. Province of Kiev. Parashiv. Pictures from both sons of Maria Shylan, 76 years old, who has decided to return in the radioactive area and lives alone in her house in the village of Parashiv. Both sons are dead: the first was a soldier and was active as a liquidator after the Chernobyl accident, the second got sick from the Chernobyl disaster. The exclusion zone has been created after the catastrophe which took place on April 1986 at 1.23 am with the explosion of reactor No 4 at Chernobyl atomic power station.
