USA. Mississippi. Waveland. Aftermath of hurricane Katrina. Most houses were destroyed by the storm, the tidal surge (water wave) and the floods. Two dolls ( one wears a pair of pygamas, the other is dressed with the american flag) lay on top of each other on the ground in a houses's ruins. The area is now empty and all its inhabitants have left away. The people could no longer and ever live again in the houses. The entire area needs to be bulldozed before any new construction can be built. Household waste. Destruction of the urban american way of life.© 2005 Didier Ruef
