Sudan. Abu Zhar. Abu Zhar is located on a school compound in the town of Al Geneina and is a camp for internally displaced people (IDP) from the civil war. A group of IDP men, all dressed in white clothes with the traditional islamic hat on the head, seat on the ground and gather together after the afternoon prayer. An elderly man is seated on a empty wheat bag which was a gift from America to feed the population suffering from the ongoing civil war. © 2004 Didier Ruef
