Built in 1845, when the Ciani brothers purchased the property, it became in 1912 the property of Lugano municipality. It covers an area of about 63,000 (sq m). A moslem family seats on a bench and drinks a hot tea. Father (R), mother (CR), daughter (CL) and son-in-law (L). Both women wear a hijab which is a veil worn by some Muslim women in the presence of any male outside of their immediate family. The hijab usually covers the head and chest.
