Serbia. Veliki Trnovac (in Albanian: Tërnoc i Madh) is a town in the municipality of Bujanovac, located in the Pčinja District of southern Serbia. « Muharrem Kadriu » Elementary School. The school’s students are all from Albanian ethnicity. Classroom. 7th Grade. A teacher talks to her students during a religion class. The schoolteacher wears a hijab while her pupils are dressed according to the western dress code. A hijab is a veil worn by some Muslim women in the presence of any male outside of their immediate family, which usually covers the head and chest. Bujanovac is located in the geographical area known as Preševo Valley. The Pestalozzi Children's Foundation (Stiftung Kinderdorf Pestalozzi) is advocating access to high quality education for underprivileged children.
